Conscious Journey Salon Saturday, 1-3 pm., June 23, 2007 What will the second half of life be like? What does this conscious journey mean, where will it bring us, and who will be their along the way? What inner resources does it require and what does it mean to re-invent retirement? Explore the ride with fellow like-minded travelers along the road of a new and different life at this salon. The Wit and Wisdom of Shakespeare 3 Tuesdays in November 2007 The Play's The Thing takes a classical turn this semester with the focus on history's most famous playwright. Delight in the pen that gave us so much laughter, so much to ponder and such inspiration. Go inside the world that was his stage. In this exciting, entertaining workshop, professional actors will perform scenes and monologues that bring to life the powerful and profound insights of Shakespeare, as well as the wonderfully rude and crude wit of the master. We will see the wildly fun and witty antics between the sexes in The Taming of the Shrew, Midsummer Nights Dream, and Twelfth Night, as well as the controversial scenes between Portia and Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, the wise advice in Hamlet, and the sad mistakes of King Lear. Scenes from other plays presented include Henry IV Part 1, Macbeth, and The Tempest. |
